Every story is some kind of tragedy, because of both the circumstances that led to the child going feral in the first place, and also because what the hell do you do with them afterwards?
Sometimes they have to clarify: "No, that child was not actually raised by squirrels, he's just autistic". A huge number of hoaxes, but many very true, very fascinating cases of children found, raised, protected, or reared by wild animals.
